Regentonian of the Year: celebrating the best of the school
The Regentonian of the Year competition recognises boys who embody the school's values of excellence, integrity, responsibility and heritage — in the classroom and beyond.
What does it mean to be a true Regentonian? The Regentonian of the Year competition sets out to answer that question — by finding and celebrating the boys who live out the school’s values most fully.
More than marks
The competition looks beyond examination results. It celebrates the all-round Regentonian: a boy who works hard in the classroom, contributes on the sports field, in the band or in clubs, serves his house and his school, and shows the character the school has stood for since 1845.
The school motto, Διώκω — “to pursue”, sits at the heart of it. Regentonians have long been known for their dogged determination in the pursuit of their goals, and the competition rewards exactly that.
Why it matters to Old Boys
Every Old Boy remembers the classmates who seemed to carry the spirit of the school with them. Recognising those boys today — and telling their stories — inspires the next generation, and reminds all of us what the Union exists to support.
Congratulations
The Union congratulates the winner and every finalist, and thanks the staff who organised the competition. Profiles and photographs of this year’s finalists will be shared in the photo gallery.
